Essential preparation includes ensuring your subfloor is clean, level (within 3mm over 1m), and dry. You'll need to leave a 10mm expansion gap around all walls and fixed objects. No — the product warranty covers manufacturing defects, not installation errors. If a professional installer makes a mistake (insufficient expansion gaps, uneven subfloor preparation, damaged click-locks during installation), the responsibility lies with the installer. We recommend using experienced flooring installers and checking their own professional indemnity insurance. If you believe the product itself is defective, contact us for assessment.

No — steam mops are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage for all our flooring products. The combination of extreme heat and forced moisture can damage the wear layer, compromise click-lock seals, and force water beneath the floor. Use a standard flat mop, dampened (not wet) with a pH-neutral floor cleaner. Microfibre spray mops are an excellent alternative to steam mops.

Our residential warranty is generally tied to the original purchaser. However, if you sell your home and the new owner experiences a genuine manufacturing defect, Australian Consumer Law may still provide protection. We assess each situation fairly and on its merits. Providing the new owner with a copy of the original purchase receipt helps facilitate any future claims.

If a manufacturing defect affects only some planks, we will provide replacement planks free of charge. You or your installer can replace the individual affected planks by lifting the floor back to the damaged area and swapping in the replacements. We do not require you to replace the entire floor for localised defects. This is one reason we recommend keeping spare planks from your original order.

Yes. Our residential warranty (20–25 years) applies to standard residential home use. Commercial warranty (5–7 years) applies to offices, retail, hospitality, and other commercial environments where foot traffic is significantly higher. If you install flooring purchased under residential pricing in a commercial setting, the commercial warranty applies. Contact us if you are unsure which applies to your situation.

All our flooring comes with a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials. Our 9.5mm SPC hybrid flooring carries up to a 25-year residential warranty and 5-year commercial warranty. Our 6.5mm SPC hybrid flooring comes with a 20-year residential warranty and 3-year commercial warranty. engineered timber flooring includes warranties specific to each product line. The warranty covers manufacturing faults including peeling, delamination, excessive wear, discolouration not caused by UV exposure, and structural defects in the click-lock system. It does not cover damage from improper installation, neglect, flooding, or accidents. We also comply with Australian Consumer Law, which provides additional statutory protections.
