9.5mm SPC, Built Tougher.

If you need a floor that handles heavy foot traffic, kids, pets, and everything life throws at it — this is it. Our 9.5mm SPC range delivers a thicker, more rigid core that feels solid underfoot and cuts noise between rooms. It's 100% waterproof, clicks together without glue, and installs over most existing subfloors. Whether you're doing a full reno or upgrading one room at a time, this is the premium choice that still comes in well under engineered timber pricing.

Before You Buy.

What makes 9.5mm SPC different from thinner options?

The extra thickness isn't just a number, it directly affects how the floor feels and performs. A 9.5mm SPC plank has a denser rigid core that absorbs more impact, reduces sound transfer between levels, and handles subfloor imperfections better than thinner alternatives. You'll notice the difference the moment you walk on it. It feels more like real hardwood than a floating floor, and that's exactly the point.

Can I install 9.5mm SPC flooring myself?

Absolutely, and that's one of the biggest advantages of SPC over traditional flooring. It uses a click-lock system so there's no glue, nails, or special tools required. You'll need a tape measure, spacers, a tapping block, and a saw for cuts. Most homeowners complete a standard room in a weekend. Just make sure your subfloor is clean, dry, and reasonably level (within 3mm over 1 metre). If you're in Brisbane, we also offer professional installation for anyone who'd rather leave it to the pros.

Is 9.5mm SPC actually waterproof

SPC flooring is waterproof at its core, the stone polymer composite (limestone and PVC) won't swell, warp, or buckle the way timber or laminate will. That means you can confidently install it in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and other moisture-prone areas. However, while the planks themselves are waterproof, water that sits in the joints or seeps up from the subfloor over time can cause damage. To get the most out of your floor, make sure your subfloor is completely dry before installation and wipe up any spills as they happen. A little common sense goes a long way, look after the basics and your SPC floor will look great for years.

Why Homeowners Are Choosing SPC Over Laminate and Engineered Timber.

Laminate can't handle moisture. Engineered timber costs a fortune and scratches easily. SPC flooring gives you the authentic timber look with none of the headaches, it's waterproof, scratch-resistant, and requires virtually zero maintenance. For most Australian homes, it's the smartest flooring decision you can make.

How does SPC compare on price and long-term value?

SPC flooring typically comes in at a fraction of the cost of engineered timber, and because it's a floating floor with click-lock installation, you save significantly on labour too. There's no sanding, staining, or recoating every few years either. When you factor in the purchase price, installation cost, and long-term maintenance, SPC delivers the best value per square metre of any hard flooring option on the Australian market right now. It's the reason builders and renovators are making the switch.

You'll notice the difference the moment you walk on it. It feels more like real hardwood than a floating floor, and that's exactly the point. If you're laying over concrete, tiling, or an uneven slab, the 9.5mm core gives you far more forgiveness without needing expensive subfloor prep.

Can I install 9.5mm SPC flooring myself?

Absolutely — and that's one of the biggest advantages of SPC over traditional flooring. It uses a click-lock system so there's no glue, nails, or special tools required. Is 9.5mm SPC flooring waterproof?

SPC flooring is waterproof at its core, the stone polymer composite (limestone and PVC) won't swell, warp, or buckle the way timber or laminate will. That means you can confidently install it in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and other moisture-prone areas. However, while the planks themselves are waterproof, water that sits in the joints or seeps up from the subfloor over time can cause damage. What subfloor can I install 9.5mm SPC over?

You can install over concrete, existing tiles, plywood, and most hard, flat surfaces, as long as they're clean, dry, and level within 3mm over 1 metre. You don't need to rip up old tiles or screed an entire slab in most cases, which saves serious time and money. We don't recommend installing over carpet or any soft, cushioned surface as the click-lock system needs a firm base to function properly.

Does 9.5mm SPC come with underlay attached?

Yes, our 9.5mm SPC planks come with IXPE underlay pre-attached, so there's no need to purchase or lay separate underlay. The built-in backing adds comfort underfoot, reduces noise transfer, and helps smooth out minor subfloor imperfections. It's ready to install straight out of the box.

How scratch-resistant is 9.5mm SPC flooring?

Very. Our 9.5mm range features a tough wear layer designed to handle pets, kids, furniture, and high-traffic areas without showing scratches. It's significantly more durable than engineered timber or laminate in everyday use. That said, we still recommend using felt pads under heavy furniture and avoiding dragging sharp or heavy objects across the surface. Prevention is always easier than repair

How do I maintain and clean my SPC floor?

One of the best things about SPC is how low-maintenance it is. Regular sweeping or vacuuming to remove dust and grit is all you need day-to-day. For a deeper clean, a damp mop with warm water does the job, no special cleaning products required. Avoid steam mops and harsh chemical cleaners as they can affect the wear layer over time. It's a floor that looks after itself if you keep the basics up.

How do I calculate how much flooring I need?

Measure the length and width of each room in metres, multiply them together to get the square metreage, then add 10% for waste, that covers cuts, offcuts, and any odd angles. If you're not sure or you've got an unusual layout, send us your measurements and we'll calculate it for you. We'd rather you order the right amount the first time than run short halfway through the job.
